CZECH FILM CHAMBER

The Czech Film Chamber (CFK) is a beneficiary society that was founded in January 2003 at the initiative of the Audiovisual Producers´Association (APA), the Film Distributors Union (UFD), and the Association of Cinema Managers (APK). At present, the CFK, which operates as a joint platform of its founding associations, primarily facilitates the national representation of the MEDIA program in the Czech Republic - the MEDIA Desk office. As of January 1, 2004, the CFK also began securing the activities of the Czech Film Center, which had operated under the auspices of the APA till then. On the same date, the Czech Film Center divided its activities into two sections: FILM PROMOTION, which promotes Czech films at home and abroad, and the FILM COMMISSION, which focuses on providing services for foreign productions in the Czech Republic.
